Dr Vishal Patel graduated with BSC honours in biochemistry from Kings College London in 2009, after which he went on to become a bachelor of dental surgery in 2013 accredited by The University of Liverpool.

Having enjoyed his time up north, he decided to return to London for his first job as a foundation dentist. Following this he was presented with the opportunity to join the team at Southend Dental care in 2014. Dr Patel thoroughly enjoys working in general practice, an environment that provides him with a unique opportunity to carry out a wide variety of treatments, helping him to fulfil a personal goal in providing all of his patients with confidence in their smiles whilst encouraging a positive attitude in preventing dental disease. Dr Patel takes pride in establishing a solid rapport with his patients of all ages allowing them to feel at ease from their very first visit. Known for his ethical approach, he will always put the patients interest first, allowing him to build trust leading to a loyal patient base Dr Patel is passionate about the profession and constantly strives to push himself at the forefront of modern day dentistry by continually investing in personal development and regularly attending courses to further his clinical skills alongside undertaking post-graduate examinations accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons. He has successfully completed a year long advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry course which has allowed him to develop his skill set further in treatment options ranging from simple minimally invasive contemporary approaches to more complex cases involving smile makeovers.

He is a certified provider of six month smiles and Invisalign where he is able to offer his patients with fixed and removable short term orthodontic solutions to straighten their teeth.

More recently Dr Patel has become a facial aesthetics practitioner, trained in the use of Botox and Dermal Fillers to reduce wrinkles and lines to improve facial aesthetics, a treatment option that works as an adjunct to cosmetic dentistry.

He has also been appointed as a clinical educator for the University of Essex, a post that requires him to supervise and mentor student hygienists throughout their placement at Southend Dental Care.
